For the Peep Squirrel
being 'green' isn't just a fad;
it's a way of life.
We strive to incorporate environmentally-friendly practices into our business:
- renewable energy - We offset 100% of our electricity with wind power from Renewable Choice Energy.
- recycling - We recycle 100% of our paper, plastic, and corrugated waste in the shop and office. Most of the office paper we use contains 30% post-consumer recycled content.
- reusing - We reuse the plastic core plugs that come into our facility in our print wrapping paper. The cores that we rewind our print wrapping paper onto come from a local reprographer who would otherwise throw them away.
- water-based inks - All of our paper products are printed with water-based, solvent-free inks.
We strive to make our products environmentally-friendly, without compromising quality or affordability:
- Pre-Cut Binding Strips - The glossy strips contain 30% post-consumer recycled material and the matte strips contain 10% post-consumer recycled material.
- Binding Machine Rolls - The binder rolls contain 30% post-consumer recycled material.
- Post Binders - The chip board binders contain 30-100% post-consumer recycled material. The plastic binders, as well as the posts and caps, are made from polystyrene (#6) and are recyclable where facilities exist.
- Print Wrapping Paper - The 30# MG print wrap contains 20% post-consumer recycled material. This paper is glazed, not coated, so it is recyclable.
- Blueprint Bags - All blueprint bags are made from low-density polyethylene (#4) and are recyclable where facilities exist.
- Small & Large Format Bags - All small & large format bags are made from low-density polyethylene (#4) and are recyclable where facilities exist.
We strive to continuously improve the environmental impact of our products and practices.
